"The New Delivery"
“The New Delivery” features a 1965 red Corvette convertible with a 396 cubic inch big-block engine. If I could personally select only one Corvette as a collector’s item, it would be one of these 1965 396 cars, as there were only 2157 built with this engine. The building behind the Corvette was inspired by several rural Chevrolet dealerships in northeastern Missouri where I grew up. It seems that they all sold several models of GM cars and trucks, so the idea of those multiple dealerships led me to paint the Corvette sign over the older sign that declares “Francis Chevrolet-Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac.” One of the lower windows depicts the office of the Sales Manager, complete with geraniums, a Coke can, and a coffee cup on the sill.

Giclée vs Litho
Printing technology changed when the type of scanners used to produce the printing plates evolved. That required changing my printing to the newest and more expensive Giclée Printing. Giclée (pronounced jyee-clay) is printed by a high quality ink jet printing process. Scanning is done in a higher resolution, producing better quality than the previous Offset Lithographic process.
