"Laguna Indian"
“Laguna Indian” with its exciting reflections is based on a photo of a Laguna Blue Z06 which I took in 2016. I selected wall signs for Indian Motorcycles and a soda named Quiky for the background. I have an upright Coke machine in my studio, but I’ve always wanted one of the horizontal “raise the lid” machines I remember from my childhood, so I included one in this painting. I often see vendors who restore machines at auction events where I can photograph them for use in my work.

Giclée vs Litho
Printing technology changed when the type of scanners used to produce the printing plates evolved. That required changing my printing to the newest and more expensive Giclée Printing. Giclée (pronounced jyee-clay) is printed by a high quality ink jet printing process. Scanning is done in a higher resolution, producing better quality than the previous Offset Lithographic process.
