"Living on the Edge"

"Living on the Edge"

“Living on the Edge” spotlights a Velocity Yellow Z06 model, just like the one I own.  The extra wide body fenders and aggressive grill as well as the expanded vent gills make this car a visual extravaganza.  I used a very low point of view to make this car seem even meaner.  Since yellow is a contrasting color with purple or violet, I chose to use those colors together.  I painted small amounts of purple for the Grapette signs and covered them partially with a sign advertising “See the USA in your Chevrolet,” noting that its jingle on television was sung by Dinah Shore.  Notice two drink cans in the painting, a red one on the ground and a new can of Red Bull in the window.  The signs are on the wall of Eddie’s 40 Hiway Tavern, a seemingly sleazy-sounding location.

Giclée vs Litho
Printing technology changed when the type of scanners used to produce the printing plates evolved. That required changing my printing to the newest and more expensive Giclée Printing. Giclée (pronounced jyee-clay) is printed by a high quality ink jet printing process. Scanning is done in a higher resolution, producing better quality than the previous Offset Lithographic process.

Framed vs Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Available unframed, framed or as a canvas print. Framed artwork comes matted with a black metal frame, while the gallery-wrapped canvas will ship rolled and you will need to have that stretched on a frame locally after you receive it. Both are thoughtfully and safely packaged and shipped insured first-class.
