"Three Layers"

"Three Layers"

“Three Layers” is one of my earlier style work, which is creating a brick wall with several overlapping advertising signs.  This one shows a 1985 ad for Reebok with a player dunking behind his head.  It was painted by Reebok for a national basketball tournament to be played in Kansas City.  Interesting that it was covering a series of Historic signs, including a Scotch Oats sign using its signature Scottsman in Kilts.  Its paint over Dr. Price’s Flour.  On the left side is a sign for Granger twist tobacco.

Giclée vs Litho
Printing technology changed when the type of scanners used to produce the printing plates evolved. That required changing my printing to the newest and more expensive Giclée Printing. Giclée (pronounced jyee-clay) is printed by a high quality ink jet printing process. Scanning is done in a higher resolution, producing better quality than the previous Offset Lithographic process.

Framed vs Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Available unframed, framed or as a canvas print. Framed artwork comes matted with a black metal frame, while the gallery-wrapped canvas will ship rolled and you will need to have that stretched on a frame locally after you receive it. Both are thoughtfully and safely packaged and shipped insured first-class.
