"Tiger Paws"

"Tiger Paws"

I’ve always been amazed at the color contrasts of the black 1967 427 Corvettes, especially  with the contrasting red hood stinger.  In 2009 Michael Soares, who owned two such Corvettes, commissioned a painting of his cars.  This year I created “Tiger Paws,” using my photos of his ’67’s but adding red line tires to both and using a U.S. Royal Tiger Paw advertisement on the wall.

Giclée vs Litho
Printing technology changed when the type of scanners used to produce the printing plates evolved. That required changing my printing to the newest and more expensive Giclée Printing. Giclée (pronounced jyee-clay) is printed by a high quality ink jet printing process. Scanning is done in a higher resolution, producing better quality than the previous Offset Lithographic process.

Framed vs Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Available unframed, framed or as a canvas print. Framed artwork comes matted with a black metal frame, while the gallery-wrapped canvas will ship rolled and you will need to have that stretched on a frame locally after you receive it. Both are thoughtfully and safely packaged and shipped insured first-class.
